When i brought it to my parents attention that Mom, Dad it looks like I’m moving to Texas. They look at me and say uh UPS doesn’t have anywhere else in New York? This is a great opportunity here and it looks like they have a training program. That whole moving process has basically shaped me the person that I am today. In training, I think they did a really good job of setting foundation of letting us know what essentials we would need to be successful. I didn’t have to look very hard to find a place to stay, it was provided in the welcome packet that was provided from UPS as far as resources like where you can go. When you’re taking a big step when coming from home and coming by yourself to an entire state you want to make sure you made the right decision. And ever since I came and stepped foot here in this building I feel that I made the right decision. Basically the minute that I hit the sales floor became an ISR I already had a support team. Everyone was willing to help me no matter what. Even if I even had a mentor and my mentor was busy, there was another person that’s within my team that was willing to assist if I had any questions or concerns. Come in the door with an open mind. It’s no place for complacency, so you definitely have to have drive, you have to be ambitious. Not only did making the transitions meet my expectations, it exceeded my expectations. People need to realize that they got to get out of their comfort zone to grow. If you are wanting to challenge yourself and you want to be with a company that actually cares about you I would recommend it for those people who are actually wanting to have a successful life and successful career as a person.
