We are here for customers, we are here for entrepreneurs, we are here for people who have bright minds. The culture at UPS is really a family environment. The network, the loyalty, is really transparent. Being here in Inside Sales you get to see UPS’ers that have been with the company, 20, 30 years. Just the collaboration with other teammates has been great. My colleagues aren’t just my colleagues, my colleagues are my partners. We here at UPS we can help those customers that do want to succeed. I’m going to talk to them to know what they want to do to be better. And then once you find out what’s important to them and what their true needs are we’re able to easily identify you know what type of solutions then we can offer. Really acting as a consultant for our customers to identify areas where we can help them within their supply chain. And really helping them understand that we have a global mindset. Our customers here domestically have an opportunity to sell internationally. You need to have a mindset that you are going to go to the next level. I truly see UPS as one that provides upwards mobility. For the past 9 years I’ve been here I’m the first Inside Sales Rep to become a director of sales within all of UPS. So we do quite a bit of training at UPS. We do a lot of teach back and we also do a lot of role-play with the account executives. The fact that the training is hands on helps immensely. You’re with that team through training. So you’re in there with a coach, with a supervisor and then sometimes even the training manager will join. UPS has been very friendly to me in the fact that I have been able to manage not only my business life and grow within the company but also manage my personal life. They just have a nurturing attitude just to see how you’re doing. Is there something wrong? Is there something we can do to help you. But as a global brand we don’t survive without the communities that do exist. The company could falter if the communities are not flourishing themselves. We also outside of work do a lot of volunteer work and try to give back to the community. I personally participate in the women’s leadership development which one thing we definitely focus on is giving back to our local community here. And I think when you talk about that piece from a family perspective and that legacy we’re all very proud to work here at UPS. The opportunities are limitless and that’s so fun to know.
