What makes Medidata different? Very simple. They've looked at the entire clinical process without thinking about what tools they've got. They've actually thought about the processes, thought about the problems we're facing, and set out to challenge them and to fix them. The vision was always to be a true solution provider to the entire life sciences industry and I think that's where we are now. We are certainly not limiting our scope to a single point solution such as electronic data capture. From my perspective Medidata is the only complete solution provided by any company that's look at the whole clinical trial process from start to finish. It is definitely a case of one size does not fit all. Which is where my technical background comes in, the fact that I've designed trials, the fact that I've run them in a number of different platforms means I can work with customers and actually build a really true, trusted partnership. I've seen so many things that worked and so many things that didn't. But what I do know can change radically is the way we approach clinical trials and the way we approach clinical research. And I think Medidata is by far the best positioned company to drive that change. And I want to be part of that. I don't want to be anywhere else because this is what we do.
