The Tulalip Gaming Organization provides gaming, hospitality, and entertainment to the surrounding community and visitors of the Tulalip Tribes. The Tulalip Tribes are federally recognized successors in interest to the Snohomish, Snoqualmie, Skykomish, and other allied tribes and bands signatory to the Treaty of Point Elliott. The 22,000 acre Tulalip Indian Reservation is located north of Everett and the Snohomish River, and west of Marysville, Washington. The Tribes maintain an aggressive environmental preservation program, both on and off of the reservation to complement the Snohomish region’s natural resources. The economic development zone along the I-5 corridor provides revenue and services for the region. Tulalip provides health, human services, housing, utilities, technology services, education, recreation, entertainment, cultural, and historical activities. The Tribes have over 4,300 members, with half of the members living on the reservation.

Video Transcript: The reason I chose a Tulalip Casino was really I wanted to do the thing I love, which is baking and pastry. I really wanted to experience a higher end. My job can consist of a lot of different things, depending on how busy it is. I’m capable about doing almost every position here in the bakery. I range anywhere from making dough to decorating cakes which is one of my favorite things to do. And I really enjoy fine dining deserts – constructing it. I never thought in a million years I could do something like that; but I found somewhere just right in my backyard that I can work on such wonderful things. I think Tulalip is the best place to come for a culinary career. We are one of the few places that have such a variety of restaurants and a variety of chefs that we can all work under. We have an Asian restaurant, we have seafood, we have a buffet. You can find your skills and learn from anywhere. The Tulalip Casino has given me so many opportunities. I would eventually like to keep growing, which is what they let me do. They have some wonderful classes here, and every year I’ve learned something different. We all know what we’re doing here, but everyone needs help every once and a while. And I appreciate that I’m in a part in my position that I can jump in and help everyone. I’m really passionate about what I do. We have a great crowd here, a great amazing team, everywhere around the casino in food and beverage, and I’m glad to be able to work with them.
