The Tulalip Gaming Organization provides gaming, hospitality, and entertainment to the  surrounding community and visitors of the Tulalip Tribes. The Tulalip Tribes are federally recognized successors in interest to the Snohomish, Snoqualmie, Skykomish, and other allied tribes and bands signatory to the Treaty of Point Elliott. The 22,000 acre Tulalip Indian Reservation is located north of Everett and the Snohomish River, and west of Marysville, Washington. The Tribes maintain an aggressive environmental preservation program, both on and off of the reservation to complement the Snohomish region’s natural resources. The economic development zone along the I-5 corridor provides revenue and services for the region. Tulalip provides health, human services, housing, utilities, technology services, education, recreation, entertainment, cultural, and historical activities. The Tribes have over 4,300 members, with half of the members living on the reservation.

Video Transcript: When you work here at Tulalip Resort Casino, everything comes back to culture. I believe it permeates through the business. Tulalip Resort Casino has three different entities: we have the Tulalip Resort and Hotel, we have Quil Ceda Creek Casino, and we have Tulalip Bingo. We have the closest thing to a Vegas style gaming that you’ll have. It’s a culture of service, a culture of hospitality. It represents the culture of Tulalip and the people. Everyone looks out for one another, takes care of one another. When you walk in on your first day you’re going to learn to be a part of a team, and you really can look forward to a mentoring relationship with individuals. I have been here for 30 years, I have never had another job. The benefits here at Tulalip are second to none. We have medical and dental, we understand that sense of security is one thing that team members are looking for when they’re searching for employment. Having those benefits takes a lot of stress off my shoulders. The Tulalip Casino has actually given me so many opportunities. We realize that a lot of people are currently wanting to further their education, and so we’ll pay for classes – whether that’s at a college or a training, and we also offer eight hours a week of education leave, which is very important. And that’s going to help me be successful in some of the things that I want to do later on. As an organization we absolute support the growth of our team members. Having three facilities, anything you’re interested in – whether it’s marketing, food and beverage, hr, administration, security. You’re not limited to the position that you’re in; you’re limited to your imagination. Our jobs are to really enhance and provide the resources for the Tribe, and we take great pride in that. When I come to work at Tulalip and we do a good job, that means that we have more money to put into the community. That’s what it means to work here, that’s the difference between working in downtown Seattle or any other cities in the nation. You can’t beat that feeling. That’s why I’ve been here for 24 years. I knew that from the time that I was hired when I was 16 years old that I would be a lifer here at Tulalip. You’re absolutely going to love your job here at Tulalip, it’s fantastic.
