Hi, my name is Abby Lawrence and I'm the Vice-President of Manufacturing. Hi, my name is James Kistler and I'm the Director of Engineering at Goodman Manufacturing. What I enjoy most about manufacturing is watching a large role of steel come in one side and forty-five minutes later watch it go out the other side as a product. When you're an engineer, you just don't work with other engineers. We document the design, we hand it off to manufacturing and we go over and help them build it. It's an exciting organization to be with. It is aggressive, but it is also fun. We have challenges that we can provide at all levels. Wherever there was a problem, I got to go to the problem and learn so much. We look of individuals that are self starters, that are motivated, and that are most importantly problem solvers. Within Goodman there's many opportunities to work on a different challenge. We have controls problems where we need controls engineers; we have electrical problems where we need electrical engineers. We don't need people that can report on a problem, it's easy to see a problem, we need people who can get to the root cause and solve the problem. It really helps guide them and makes them think that extra level to make sure that the product is right the first time. We put a very big emphasis on quality. We provide a great product at a great price and we provide the person great value. That's how you become number one.
